Description
A cable/hydraulic hybrid disc brake system offers power and modulation of fully hydraulic brakes without the complexity and hassles that sometimes accompanies those systems.
The Ultimo’s main difference from the Motoko is that the Ultimo has four pistons (vs. 2) and larger pads. The rotor is also equipped with removable aluminum heat sinks.
Compatible with cable-actuated Road Brake Levers (SHORT PULL)

The Short Pull Touring Canti is a powerful cantilever brake with a similar design to the Neo-Retro, but with the arms angled upward. This gives the brake a much narrower profile without significantly reducing stopping power.
The narrower profile of the Touring Canti can be desirable if you’re riding with large panniers or if your current brakes don’t give you enough heel or calf clearance.
The arms of the Touring Canti are machined from lightweight 6061 aluminum. Their T-shaped cross section prevents the brake from flexing too much under load.
The brake pads mount to slots in the arms that allow for vertical positioning. The toe-in and angle can be fine-tuned thanks to the spherical washers on the brake pads’ threaded posts.
Like all of Paul brakes, the Touring Canti has a sealed pivot mechanism. Rubber seals and a stainless steel bushing keep the brake arms turning smoothly no matter what you’re riding through. The Canti Lever is a short pull brake lever for use with short pull brakes like cantilevers, center pull brakes, and side pull caliper brakes.
These levers are machined by Paul in Chico California to exacting specifications. The pivot features a dual sealed cartridge bearing for the smoothest, stiffest brake lever you will ever use.
Like all Paul components, these will be serviceable for a lifetime.
Recommend for use with Paul Racer, Neo-Retro, Touring Canti, Mini-Moto or Short Pull Klamper brakes, but they work well paired with any road caliper brake, cantilever brake, or other short pull brake.
